Our website uses Piwik, an open-source, web analytics software package recommended by data protection authorities, which provides us information about the visitors who use our website. Piwik helps us evaluate the attractiveness of our website and improve its content and functionality. For this purpose, the Klassik Stiftung Weimar automatically stores information which is normally transmitted by your browser. This applies to the following information:

  • Your browser type and version

Our website uses plugins by the company AddThis, LLC, 8000 Westpark Dr., Suite 625, McLean, VA 22102. AddThis is an open-source web service which allows users to tag the page they are on with a bookmark (also known as a »favourite«) and share it with other users on social networks. In this way, AddThis serves as an interface to practically all commonly used bookmarking services and social networks.

When you click on an AddThis extension, your Internet browser creates a direct link with the servers at AddThis and the selected social network or bookmarking service. The data produced in this action (e.g. time of use or browser language) is transmitted to AddThis LLC in the United States and processed there. When you share the content of our website with social networks, bookmarking services, etc., a link can be created between the website and your user profile on the corresponding network. The resulting data is saved by AddThis and the corresponding service.

For more information about the purpose and scope of data collection, processing and usage by AddThis, its privacy policy, terms of service or privacy settings, see the Privacy and Data Practices at AddThis. To learn more about the purpose and scope of data collection, processing and usage through the social networks to which you have sent data, as well as about your rights and instructions for changing your privacy settings, please read the privacy statements of the social network provider in question (e.g. Facebook). If you do not want AddThis to collect information about your visit on our website, then please refrain from activating these plugins.
